Daedel's eyes went wider and she grimaced as she lept back from Aiden. "Demon! You shall not take what is not yours."
She used the durasteel pole to try to block the blows of the fire extinguisher. She hissed and rolled to the side of one of the blows. She aimed the pole at the extinguisher in a jab, hoping it would puncture it its contents at Aiden, which would blind him for a bit, but not harm him in the long term.

"FOOLISH BEING. YOU KNOW NOT WHAT YOU CONTEND WITH", the Shadow Demon said through Aiden.
"WE WILL DESTROY YOU AND YOUR KIND"
Suddenly, it left Aiden's body. He fell limp to the floor.
The Shadowy figure grew in size. It's arms became pointed and sharp like a sword. He thrusted the sword-like arm towards her chest.
Aiden shivered, he could see everything but could not move.

She watched Aiden fall limp to the floor, dropping the extinguisher with it. Her head tails twitched with the adrenaline and fear that prickled throughout her. She had never dealt with such a creature before. And although the Wookiee who had dropped her off at the Academy years ago, had told her she was force sensitive, she didn't know how to use what they called the force.
She did however, know how to move fast. When she was sold into slavery by her father, she learned how to move very fast. Infact, sometimes her life depended on it as a kid, running from the "enemy" to get to the ship, or avoid creatures she had to dive for in oceans to sell on the galactic black markets.
She lept backwards and shifted slightly off to the side, so the sword/arm moved past her. She managed to leap onto a four foot boulder that had fallen from the cieling and dove towards Aiden and the extinguisher.
At the same time, down the hallway, a few Academy security droids were approaching at a fast pace, armed with slight energy shields and blasters.
They had seen the situation the students were in, having recognized their faces from archives stored in their memory and aimed at the unknown being, letting out volleys of shots.

The shots went right throught the Shadow Demon. A grin presented itself on its face.
Both arms narrowed and swept inward at Daedel's neck like scissors.
Just then, Aiden managed to regain movement in his body and grasped the fire extinguisher and aimed the hose towards the threatening shadow. He showered it with the contents. The Shadow Demon screamed in agony.
It seemingly evaporated in thin air.
"Oww, this is going to hurt in the morning..." whimpered Aiden.

Lyle slowly got up to only be nearly knocked over by the security bots. He cursed at the things following them half tempted to fire at them himself. The shadow beast was a new one he thought. His shot had gone right through it with the bots. He was not going to let whatever knocked him over just walk away as he tried to shoot again but He watched as the shots went through it again just before the fire extinguisher worked.
"Genius! did you know that would work?" He asked still holding his gun, watching for the shadow to return. "What was that thing? What happened? "

The Nautolan swirled around in time to see the spectre type being aim a scissor attack at her neck and her eyes widened. She thought she saw her life flash before her eyes, just as Aiden showered the contents of the fire extinguisher on the being, causing it to withdraw it's attack and howl in agony. In seconds, it vanished, leaving it's howls echo in the small hallway.
Her hearts were beating very fast, likely from the adrenaline, fear and relief at still being alive.
She looked over at Lyle, who had apparently followed them after the crash. She looked over at Aiden. "I believe I owe you one, as they say human cadet." She bowed her head. "Not only did I lead you to certain doom, you saved me when I thought the last moment of my life had come."
She managed to slow her breathing and her headtails twitched, then relaxed at the back of her head once more.
The security bots moved closer, searching for any signs of the shadow being, and mechanically checking credentials of the three beings in the hallway that had been involved with the spectre incident.

Aiden regained all of his strength and stood up.
"I don't know what that thing was. All I know was that I could see and hear everything but I couldn't control my body. I also could feel what it was feeling. It was confusing. Definitely a sense of anger but... I don't know if I'm right... but I want to say I felt a deep sadness or depression as well."
He looked at Daedel.
"Are you okay? We better find a way to get out of here."
He then noticed the strange man who was trapped with them.
"You there? Who are you?"

Three levels above and on the other side of the wing sat an old man. He was the Professor of History.
Professor Kaden Sol was seated safely in his chair and not surprised at all by the explosion. At his desk, he continued to scan over ancient holocrons, as if he was preparing for an upcoming class or lecture. An unusual sight after such an event.
Minutes after the explosion, only after he had finished his work, Professor Sol gingerly stood up from his desk to make his way to the window. He closed his eyes in reflection then let out a deep sigh.
"It's happening again."

Lyle sighed as he was inconvenienced that they could not tell by his uniform.
"Captain Lyel Oskeli, of the Imperial Navy, Who are you, perhaps the ones who set off this explosion?"
He stared at them accusingly figuring they weren't likely to be the culprits but he wanted to hear their reactions. He than realized that of course him being an imperial in a bombed academy did not bode well for him. He hoped that they didn't try to pin this on him. Hopefully they would realize one wouldn't be so public of his affiliation if he had bombed the academy. He held his blaster still looking for any other possible threats. After a few seconds of scanning his eyes rested on the two again.

As Thane approached the Academy his senses were bombarded with the pain of those around him. Grimacing slightly he gave the girl's hand a reassuring squeeze subconciously. He had no training in healing and what little training he had accepted from his parents had only been enough for some basics and a now subconcious tendancy to hide his presence from those with the senses fo it. Coming upon a rather large piece of debris that blocked a whole coridor Thane could feel the pain eminating from it, someone was burried underneath it.
Releasing his grip on the little girl Thane crouched down and hooked his fingers under the debris. Just looking at the size of it he knew he would not be able to lift it, at least not without a little help.
"Please work." He muttered as he started to concentrate. Pulling against the dbris he tried to visualize an invisible hand pulling against the debris. At first nothing happened, but as Thane's grimace deepened he started to slowly pull the debris from the corridor. With one last cry of effort he managed to move it enough to free the battered individual and clear the corridor. Collapsing to the ground Thane breathed heavily from his exhurtion, knowing that while his presence was hidden that small display of ability, albeit weak and barely managed, probably raised some red flags to those who were sensitive to it.
This is why we don't get involved, Thane, he thought bitterly as he panted.
((OOC: The debris I moved was the ceiling that collapsed behind you all, just to put us all in the same place))

The little girl was growing visibly more upset as they walked through the academy. Injured people were rushing past them, and the fear on their faces was scaring her more and more.
When the man with the grease covered hands let go of hers, her first instinct was to grab onto a piece of his trousers. The fear of being left alone was strong in the poor little orphan girl and the fact that she had found someone who was willing to give her even the smallest bit of attention had immediately let her grow very attached to the man.
But as he was crouching down to try lift the debris she could do nothing but watch. When he stood back up again she immediately grabbed onto his clothing and held tight.
What she saw next surprised her, and her jaw dropped in awe as the man seemed to move the block that had trapped someone underneath it by just looking at it. Her eyes darted from the block to the man lifting it, not really believing what she saw. But still, something was familiar about it, something about the way he concentrated and the feeling in the air as he did. For now though the little girl simply shrugged it off. She glanced quickly to her new friend to make sure she was ok, and then the 8 year old blond girl rushed forward to whoever had been trapped under the block.
She knelt down next to the person and gently poked at it to see if it was still alive. Glancing over her shoulder with giant round eyes, she said,
"Mister, I think this one's hurt real bad..."

Aiden looked stunned when he heard the obvious accusation.
"Uh, did you get hit in the head or something? I mean, were you not watching when that whole shadowy thing invaded my body and turned my voice all spooky like then popped out and try to kill her???"
He recognized the Imperial Uniform.
"And...what the heck is an Imperial Officer doing here?"
He thought about it for a sec, then grabbed Daedel.
"Wait a minute... this is an Imperial attack, isn't it?"
When the debris cleared and he saw the rescuers he shouted out to them.
"HEY, over here. We've got an Imperial Officer here...hurry!"

Lyle didn't see the shadow posses the man. Only that it attacked the young woman. but with the accusation of an Imperial attack he laughed.
"If this was an Imperial Attack... "
He shook his head deciding not to go there.
" Well it wouldn't be like this, I am here to present the Academy some money and offer promising students jobs within the Empire. Surely it was an announcement as the event is quite public. "
Lyle put his blaster in its place on his side and as he looked to the passage, he decided not to pay any attention to the figures unless they moved towards them or said something.
" Are either of you hurt? I know some basic first aid and can help bandage you up. "
He looked over them for any sign of untended injuries.

"You're right kid." Thane nodded his agreement to the girl's assessment of the student he had uncovered. As he slowly regained his composure from moving the debris he heard a voice from down the hall yelling about Imperials.
"So what if there's an Imp, if they bombed you he wouldn't have stuck around!" Thane shouted back at the student, obviously annoyed by the student's lack of thought process. Turning his attention back to the young girl Thane tried to keep pressure on the worst of the battered student's wounds.
"You know, I need something to call you other than 'kid'."

The little girl blushed at the man, realising she had not even thought of introducing herself.
"My name's Teia. What's yours Mister?"
Teia noticed the academy students down the hall and wondered if they needed any help. Not that she could do much herself, but she fully believed her new friend would and could help them. After all, if he could life a rock with his mind he could do anything.
We need to help the other people as well! Can we call an ambu... an ambulaans?
The girl clearly had trouble with slightly bigger words she did not use in every day conversation...
