Theed was the capital city of the planet Naboo.
The city became the capital of the planet after King Jafan united the numerous city-states following a long civil war. Theed was home to the Theed Royal Palace and was the location of one of the main battles in the Invasion of Naboo by the Trade Federation in 32 BBY. Several battles erupted in the city during the Galactic Civil War.
The city's famous unified and harmonious architectural style was the result of strict planning regimes and extensive rebuilding after the upheavals of the ancient past. Its sophisticated culture has produced many able and admired galactic politicians, including Senator Palpatine, whose study and early career were based in Theed.

The retired Colonel arrived to his house and quickly tuning in on the vicious attacks. Watching the Galactic news, he looked to his servant.
" Can you make me a cup of tea, please?" Ryu asked.
The servant who had been in the family for years looked toward Ryu, grinning.
"Yes Colonel McGray" the servant replied.
the servant handed Ryu the cup of tea, as Ryu glanced at the attacks. He sipped on his tea and crossed his right leg over his left, still glancing. As an update report came across the screen about an emergency meeting, Ryu finished his tea. standing up, he looked at his servant.
"Can you prepare my ship? I would like to leave immediately" the large man said.
" But sir, you just got..." Ryu caught the servants words off.
" I understand that, but i would like to attend the meeting" Ryu quickly walked away.
Around an hour later Ryu's ship departed, hoping to attend the meeting.

Ryu McGray's(Darth Nemesis) ship landed next to his home in Theed. Walking down the stairs his servant greeted him.
" Hello sir, did you enjoy your trip?"
" Very much, thank you!" Ryu continued to walk toward his house, walking in. He contacted the Naboo head quarters.
" Hello, this Colonel Ryu McGray, i was curious on how i run for the position as one of Naboo's Senators?"
" Yes Colonel, if you want you can start your campaign. As i have been notified not a lot of people are interested. Maybe you can speak with the Queen?"
" Very well, can you schedule me an anointment?"
" Yes i can, come to the palace as soon as you can."
" Thank you." Ryu McGray smiled as the hologram faded. He walked over to his closet and grabbed some extra close. Notifying his servant to prepare his things. A few hours later, Ryu headed for the palace.

Colonel McGray arrived to the palace on a bright early morning. He had heard there were available seats for the Naboo Senate. Ryu walked up the stairs of the palace, and walked through the huge double doors. Quickly he arrived to a politicians office.
" How are you sir?" Ryu asked the man, as he stood up to shake Ryu's hand.
" Very well, i have heard much about you Colonel, and i also hear you are running for a Senator position, yes?"
" Yes sir, I have always enjoyed politics since my youth years, and of course my support is not just for the Republic, but my home world, Naboo."
" Yes indeed, i have heard of your mother. God rest her soul, fine lady. Always stood up for what she believed in. With your reputation, you will not have a problem. We are actually in need of a Senator."
Ryu grinned, is evil plots was coming as he foreseen. Walking with the man up the stairs, they prepared. A voting session would have to take place in the name of democracy.

The small two seater Skipray blastboat emerged from hyperspace just behind Naboo's moon. The green and blue planet loomed ahead peacefully with little traffic coming in or out of it's atmosphere. The people of Naboo were generally a peaceful people. They still had their military and police corps but for the most part they were nomads, or city people devoting themselves to the arts, and to trade with the rest of the galaxy. It was also the home of the amphibian like Gungans who over the past few hundred years seemed to have learned to coexist with the humans who shared the planet.
"I say we keep a low profile for awhile, untill we figure out a lead to follow." Vanessa told Mal. "If we act like tourists it shouldn't be a problem."

Crowds of people arrived to the voting session. " Ladies and gentlemen, we have our two candidates here today. Retired Colonel. Ryu McGray of the New republic Army, and Dasha Alavai, a fine lady who has a great resume in politics. She graduated at the top of her class at her university. Both candidates want peace and keep Naboo intact of democracy. Bringing a safe, strong, and reliable republic." The announcer spoke as millions of people applauded. Dasha Alavai, gave her speech, and again the crowd cheered. Ryu was nervous that this may be what the people want. " Next we have our Naboos own, Retired Colonel. Ryu McGray." Ryu shook Dasha's hand, as well the rest of people sitting down. walking over to the queen, shaking and a small peck to the hand. He walked over to give his speech.
" Good afternoon, today you have two great candidates to support your home world, and the republic. Over the last two century's, we have kept peace, hoping we never have the fear of a terrible war against the Empire. Electing me will be a great choice! I promise to socialize with the Empire to keep our peace. Hoping our brave men and women never have to step on the battle fields against the Empire, however we may be heading toward dark times. I assume you have heard on the news about the terriost attacks? I will see to it as my personal objective to have this organization stopped. Peace, liberty, and justice for the republic will stand. I promise you I will work with our government to keep democracy intact."
Ryu McGray walked away from microphone, as the crowd cheered. The announcer walked back over. " The polls will be open until sun down, thank you."
Millions of people moved to building were they could vote. Lines were formed, and the government establishment of Naboo waited inside until the votes were counted.

Hours later, the announcer started talking on the microphone. " All votes have been counted, and we have your results." Ryu sat still, looking at the crowd. The announcer again spoke." Naboo's new Senator, Ryu McGray!" Some of the crowd was displeased, but most of the crowd was excited. Ryu quickly jumped up, and raised his arm as he had won a boxing match. Walking toward the microphone, he shook everyone's hand, even his opponents. " Thank you! I'm very excited that the beautiful people of Naboo trust me. Now i guess i have work to do." Ryu laughed after his last statement, and walked away. He would have to leave Naboo soon.

Mal nodded at Sola as he sat back in his seat.
This trip had allowed him to escape off planet, but it was getting stranger by the minute. What in the name of the Emperor are we doing on Naboo, Mal thought.
"Sola, where on Naboo are we headed?"
Mal wondered if he would be able to get himself a weapon on this planet, a blaster of some sort. It seemed to him that if he was going to stay alive alongside Vanessa, he would need it.

Sola noted her companion's impatience, and couldnt' help but mirror her own. She felt the same way. It had been growing, ever since the nightmares started, she had been questioning her very identity since she had awoken in a Kamino medical facility with various cuts all over her body, tubes running throughout the room and no memory of who she was, who her friends or family were, and how she had gotten there. It had quite literally shaken her world apart. Or rather, the world a person would expect to be there, when one awoke from a coma.
"I need a reliable library database. And you..." She glanced over her shoulder, "You need a weapon. Unless you want to go around poking people with tooth picks."
The last part was a joke but shouldn't have been funny since he obviously meant business with them and knew how to use them in a surgical like fashion.
She took the Blastboat into the atmosphere, and flew it into a hangar designated for tourists and other civilian traffic. She pushed open the hatch and breathed in the fresh air. She paid the pilot in charge of any docking fees and waited for Mal to hop out. Looking around, there weren't that many tourists at the moment in the area, but the ships that were docked here were mainly of weathier beings.

Mal grinned at the mention of toothpicks. Yes, a toothpick used correctly was most certainly a dangerous weapon, he thought.
He nodded at the mention of a library, he had some research himself that he would finally get a chance to start on.
"When you go to the library, take me along would you? I need to look up a couple of things."
Perhaps if he started on Naboo he might be able to get a chance or a lead on it, he thought to himself...

When Mal had hopped out, she pulled off her silver helmet and put it into the cockpit. She was still dressed in her Mandalorian armour, and many civilians in the area took interest in glancing at her, while she locked the ship.
She had left her blaster rifle and various other weapons locked in her ship, but kept some concealed weaponry in various pouches and underneath her armour incase she needed them.
"We'll you're in luck, we're heading there right now. It's also best if we keep a low profile... These people are peaceful looking until provoked."
She popped into a city square where cobblestoned streets and marbled plazas shone beneath a sunny sky with the ancient architecture that spoke of a love for knowledge and peace. It was an idyllic city amongst many cities in the galaxy, and it seemed to hardly speak of the tragedy that had occured over the years.
Stepping over to a Tourist looking shop on the side of a plaza, Vanessa Sola nodded to the attendant. "Can I get any maps of the area?"
"You're.. not from here." The man asked obviously, glancing her up and down. He seemed hesitant as some people did of her Mandalorian armour. It made people nervous, and rightfully so. Over the years Mandalorians had come to be feared due to the ferocity of some of its finest warriors such as Jango and Boba Fett and Calo Ordo.
"No, can't say I am." She shot him an impatient smile. "And could I get that outfit in a small." She gestured to a civilian looking tunic that would fit over her armour so she wouldn't look as conspicuous.
"O-Of course." He nodded and shuffled quickly to the back of the shop with the proper sized tunic and a detailed map of Theed and its landmarks.
Sola paid and waited to see if Mal wanted anything.

Keep a low profile? Mal wondered what she meant by that. Or to be more precise he wondered if she was telling him in a euphemistic way not to kill anyone. Most probably the latter.
He watched idly as she shopped. Inwardly he laughed at himself. You can a woman and make her into a Mando, but you could never take the women out of a Mando. The way she had asked for the outfit in a small brought a smile to Mal's face. He realised that he was beginning to think of this Sola as a friend, and that could never be a good thing. He was always best on his own and never needed anyone or anything. Friendships would mean dependence, and he did not want to depend on anyone, or have them rely on him.
He would have to do something about this new nuisance, he thought, as he continued to smile at Sola. A little voice in his head argued with him though. Do we have to? She seems nice. Maybe we can have just one friend? An angrier, far darker voice seemed to respond. No. You cannot have anyone, no one can be trusted.
Inwardly cursing himself, Mal knew what was bringing this on. Every time he did not go out and make new playmates regularly the voices started again. The only way to keep them quiet was to fulfil his need - to quench his blood thirst. Perhaps tonight would be a good night to go out and play...

Sola looked over at Mal and realized he had a smile on his face. She raised an eyebrow in question to him with a lopsided smile. She couldn't help it, it was infectious. She had never seen him smile in such a way. It had only happened when he'd set the explosives on Corellia and mutilated the gungan on Raxus Prime.
She decided to not ask, and set about pulling the grey and black tunic carefully over her armor and adjusting it with a belt. It fit rather well, and this way she would still be protected, yet blend in much better to the idyllic life of Naboo.
She had a look at the map which was a chip she input into a small portable datapad and brought up a map of Theed. It showed the main attractions that tourists mostly visited, and some of the best night clubs, restaurants and other areas mostly taken by tourists. She instead focused on the search bar and queried for the library. It showed that it wasn't more than two blocks from here which pleased the young bounty hunter. Not that she was in a rush... but it was always best to not waste time with whatever objective was infront her.
She began walking the street and glanced sideways to Mal who strode next to her. She hadn't always been a social person and for some reason, she didn't quite know why she let him tag along.. However, he was good with machines, something she didn't quite know how to figure out, unless they were basic repairs. He was also an interesting character. He had perked her curiousity when he had mutilated the gungan. It was not something an average being did. Sure the creatures were annoying... but she wasn't sure of many who would resort to things like that. Personally she was a little on edge and wondered what he thought of her and his reasons for traveling with her.. Was he after her ship or did he know something about her past and why she had suddenly lost her sense of identity years ago that she didn't know? Or was he just tagging along for the fun of it?
They reached the library which began with a set of stairs into oranately carved stone rooms with green ceiling domes and marble flooring.
"Hello, can I help you?" A droid on one wheel wheeled over to her and focused its yellow photoreceptors at her and Mal.
"Uh... yes, yes you can." She made sure to smile because it was sometimes easier to trick a droid than it was a human. "I left my library card at home, and I just wanted to finish typing up my research paper on the..." She glanced over at a poster of some fish in Naboo's ocean depths, "Opee Sea Killer."
"Oh my, of course... I am quite disturbed by those myself." The droid replied annoyingly as it typed a few keys into its metallic wrist and out popped a flimsi card one could use to access the computers lined on the far left wall of the Library ten holoshelves down.

Mal whistled a happy tune as he casually walked along behind Sola. He took in the stunning architecture of the capital city of Naboo, but more importantly, he took in the beings and the people who appeared on the street. He studied them as a predator studies a herd of deer to establish which was the weakest in the group, to decide which would be the easiest kill.
As they walked the streets he saw many people but none drew his fancy. For now he would simply watch until he saw someone that reached out to his twisted soul. And then? Then he would do what he did best. It seemed as if they had plenty of time on Naboo. Instead of rushing it, Mal would have the chance to really get to know his victim and to take his time with them.
And for such a lovely project the correct playmate would have to be chosen and that would take time.
As they arrived at the library Mal accidentally bumped into a woman leaving the trove of knowledge. He had seen her pocket her own card as she was preparing to leave and made a mental note of where it was on her person. As he had bumped into her his mechanics nimble fingers had quickly decarded the woman, and given Mal all the access he would need to library.
Apoligising profusely to the woman with the regal appearance, Mal backed away from her and continued to follow Sola into the building. He studied a few posters on the wall as she got her own access to the system, and once she had a cubicle choose one not far from hers in which he sat down.
The recently stolen card did its trick and within a few seconds Mal was browsing the data in the system, looking for a clue that could lead him into a large fortune...
