The Room of a Thousand Fountains is a large greenhouse located at the base of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Containing waterfalls and huge amounts of flora, meditative areas, pottery, and stone walkways, the chamber serves as a meditative retreat for the members of the Jedi Order while staying in the Temple.
Located at the base of the Jedi Temple's northwestern side, this seven story tall green house was one of the Temple's major focal points.
The main entrance to the chamber consisted a short passage behind huge wooden doors, emptying onto a platform from which several stone and dirt paths diverged. The winding paths cut through potted plants and large displays of exotic foliage from across the galaxy. Little bridges crossed streams that flowed from unseen sources. Benches lined the paths, encouraging meditation and reflection. Fountains could be heard trickling from anywhere in the chamber, along with the roar of the waterfall at the room's center. Some fountains were concealed by the shrubbery, but others were brilliantly displayed in the center of stone walkways.
Beside the beauty of the gardens, the chamber also was home to an technological wonder. In the rafters of the room was a large collection of lighting banks that disguised the ceiling as an outdoor sky. The combination of light and canvas completed the illusion that gave the room its feel of a completely separate environment from that of Coruscant.

Layia entered the flowing halls of the Room of a Thousand Fountains. When she wasn't in her quarters or at the training room, this is where she would be found. Running her left hand up the cloth of her right arm she smiled as she glanced around the room, gripping her arm at the elbow. If she wasn't in battle she would usually find her calm here, yet somehow things were different. No longer did she get the feeling of life from the fountains, a feeling she always secretly attributed to the presence of past Jedi who loved this place. Walking past a fountain in the middle of a lush patch of flowery she let her fingers glide over the surface of the water. Even the ripples didn't seem right to her. No, there was something missing from this place, something sacred.
Her brows furrowed in thought Layia stared hard at her reflection. Suddenly, a small glint of reflected light caught her attention. What was that? Reaching out slowly she gripped the small object, raising it out of the water to discover it was a holocron. The troubling part was that it was a design she had never seen before, and more than that it was a wonder how it got to be where it was.
"Open it."
The sudden voice caused Layia to practically jump out of her own skin. Turning she came face to face with someone she had only seen in the Jedi Archives. "Master L'eonheart!" She exclaimed, bowing her head in respect. It was clear by the eerie glow that shrouded the man that the only solution to the presence of a Battlemaster that had not seen these halls in 150 years was that he was a Force Ghost. Returning the greeting Higomi moved towards the fountain, sitting on the edge and staring sadly into the water.
"I loved this room... It was the only place I could think."
Layia frantically looked about for another Jedi, someone to verify that she wasn't slipping into insanity. Finding no one Layia resigned herself to the situation, sitting down next to the Ghost. "What is this, Master?" She asked softly, holding the curious holocron before her.
"Open it and you'll know the answer to that."
"But how did it get here?"
"I thought that would be obvious... I made it."
"Then why won't you tell me?" Layia practically whined as she asked the question, causing Higomi to truly laugh.
"Are you the current Jedi Battlemaster or a child?"
"My apologies."
"It's quite all right... I need you to listen. There are events in motion that are hard to predict, even for the Masters. If there is to be an end to this, a true end... I need you to follow what you find in that holocron."
With a sigh Higomi seemed to gaze at something far away, that only he could see. "I'm needed elsewhere, I trust this to you Layia D'Hara. Do not fail." With those final words Higomi stood, fading away as he did so. Still confused by what had just transpired Layia stared dumbfounded at the holocron in her hand. I must take this to the other Masters, seek their counsil. With that final thought she rose to her feet, rushing towards the Council Chambers.
