The Jensaarai defender smiled at Treys onslaught of questions, revealling rows of needle sharp teeth. "If thiz one wanted to kill you he would of done so, you'd be already dead". He assured Trey with a feral grin. "Thiz one is named Kull and he is of the Jensaarai, an ancient order of worshiperz of the force who serve as the enforcerz of itz will, sworn to restore the balance and return thingz to as they should be". He said introducing himself. "He iz no Jedi, the Jensaarai are the enemy of the Jedi Knightz". "You were able to throw your attacker because you are powerful in the force, itz power flows through you like a river and taught to wield it properly, you would be most powerful". "Thiz one iz not sure, but he thinkz what you see is because of the force, you see its energy". He explained. "And in regardz to your speciez, it doez not matter what you are, but who you are".
"The force allowz thiz one to sense incoming danger and move to avoid it, that iz why he could avoid crashing". Kull said with a soft hiss of laughter. "He could of killed those men yez, but it waz not hiz mission". "He saved you because the Jensaarai like the Sith and Jedi Knightz are interesting in your potential power and you would be a valuable addition to any of the force sects within the galaxy". "He iz to bring you to the safety of Jensaarai ally territory away from the Jedi'z and Sith so that the force and itz wayz can be explained to you and to help you find your way within the universe, whether or not you ultimately choose to join the Jensaarai iz up to you, we will not force you to join uz". Kull elaborated. "Unlike the Jedi or Sith who would rather kill you than not have you be one of them". He added. "Thiz one cannot force you to go with him, it must be of your own free will, such iz the will of the force and the way of the Jensaarai".

Trey sat quietly for a full minute, eyes locked on the blinking lights in front of the co-pilots seat. Finally he looked at Kull, seeing the comferting glow around him once more. "Both of those groups see me as eather a threat, or asset. If they can't have me they will kill me. And If I don't go with you, They will find me." He is smile was hard, filled with teeth. "The force has eather one fucked up sence of humour, or I'm the luckist scrap worker in the lower city." Trey took off his chest restraint and stood up. "I will be back with my stuff, then we can leave".
He walked down to the rear access hatch and slaped his hand on the release catch. The door slid up with a oiled hiss and Trey steped out, making for the stairs that lead into his building. Down he went, one floor, two, three, and finally stoping at the 36th floor, thinking how much faster it was getting home from the roof.
He walked down the hall he had known for years, stoping at a door that read 3624 B. His key card turned the amber light green and the door slid open. He walked into the kitchen.
"Hi mom." His mother looked up from where he had been sitting, using a needle and thread to patch up his sisters pants. "Hello Trey, how was work?" The same cliped tones, the same uneasy stair. "Ok, I got my pay chip". He put it down on the table. "I got a bag of sugar nuts" "and ate them all I expect. What you think your the only one who deserves a treat? We all work-" "A man is taking me away, he said he would take care of me from now on." His mother looked at him, the needle still poised over her work. "ok, Goodbie" she said, and bent her head to her sowing again.
Trey opened the back hatch to the ship and walked in, a bag over his sholder and a jacket over his work clothing. "ok, lets go".

Kull waited patiently for Trey to return, his senses ever alert for any signs of trouble. While Trey was gathering his personal possessions the Jensaarai Defender changed from his armour and into his plain black robes, which were much more comfortable than the suit of armour all Jensaarai wore. As soon as Trey returned he fired up the ships engines and headed for Coruscants atmosphere in silence. Logging a destination into the hyperspace navigation equipment, he'd decided to choose Corellia for their first port of call. On their way he would have to explain some things to Trey to make sure the young man knew for certain what he was getting himself into.
It was sacred Jensaarai law that all potential Jensaarai had everything about their order explained to them before they officially joined the order, once one joined the Jensaarai they could never leave, it was a lifetime commitment and he was required to make sure that Trey was 100% certain of his decision. Unlike the Jedi who explained little of their order and the force to potentials before they decieved them into joining the order. But then he wasn't surprised, the Jedi didn't even require members to remain apart of the order, any one of them was free to come and go as they wished. Which spoke volumes to how seriously they took their code and mission. As Kull was thinking this the ships hyperdrive beeped at him and he flicked the switching engaging the hyperdrive. The transperisteel window in front of them froze the turned into streaks of stars as they hurtled through the alternate dimension.
((There's no deep space thread or anything yet, so I guess we'll just continue talking here))

(( sounds good to me))
Trey gripped the sides of his chair as the stars Streaked out into lines and the equipment in the ship launched them into hyperspace. The whole trip had awed him. He had never been outside of the lower city before, much less left the planet. As his heart settled back to its normal speed Trey looked over and examined Kull more closely.
“Kull do you have a light saber?” Trey asked. Then another thought occurred to him. “And something to eat?”

"Yez thiz one haz a lightsaber". Kull confirmed with a nod. He got up from his seat and stode across the shuttles deck to the small kitchenette and opened the pantry, removing two tins of Gelmeat from the cupboard. He retrieved two spoons from a draw and handed one with a tin to Trey. "Thiz one iz afraid the quality of meals on hiz ship isn't gourmet". He said with a hiss of laughter as he resumed his seat.
He pried back the ring on the can and began shovelling the food unceremoniously into his mouth. Being a Barabel and a born hunter and carnivore he hated eating meat out of a can, but it was food non the less and was suited for long hyperspace journeys. He finished devouring the gelmeat with a loud burp and smiled cheekily, flashing a mouthful of needle sharp teeth. "Now, if you are prepared thiz one will tell you all about the Jensaarai and the choice being presented to you". "He will try to answer any questions you have to the best of hiz abillity". Kull added settling back into his pilots seat.

Trey’s eyes where wide with surprise at being given a whole can to himself. He held the can flat in his hand, using the side of his spoon to carve slivers off the jelled meat, placing them into his mouth, savoring the flavor before swallowing. Not a scrap was wasted. Halfway through the can he was beginning to feel bloated. Never had he eaten so much in one sitting. He slowed, chewing his most recent morsel and he looked up at Kull again. “Ok, tell me about the, Je-sar-ee”. He fumbled the word, trying to sound it out as he had been taught by his mother.

Kull set his empty tin of gelmeat aside and waved a finger at the refridgerator noticing Trey struggling to finish his meal. "There will always be time to eat later". He said with a wide grin as the fridge door opened by itself. The Barabel Jensaarai Defender settled himself into his seat to prepare for the telling of a long story. "Thiz one guessez he may az well start at the beginning". He commented. "The Jensaarai began over four centuries ago when the first Saari-Kaar who was then one of the Jedi Knights discovered an old Jedi teaching that had long been forgotten or supressed by the Jedi'z". He began. "He revealed what he had discovered to the Jedi council but waz called a heretic and waz cast out of the Jedi order along with his followers". "So they left the republic and found a new home where they founded the order of the Jensaarai based upon these teachings that he had discovered". Kull explained.
"For four centuries we have been the guardianz of the force and the enforcerz of itz will". "The force az you probably know iz the lifeforce that existz in all living thingz and bindz them together". "The Jensaarai have discovered, or rediscovered that the force is more than thiz, it also haz a will of itz own as a consequence of its existance in all life". The Barabel explained. "Think of it az a subconcious hive mind of sortz that must be appeased for peace and prosperity to prevail". Kull didn't want to over burden Trey with information so he stopped there to give it time for the young man to process the information and comprehend it.

Trey swallowed the last mouthful from the tin and set it aside, the spoon resting inside. He had sat cross legged in his chair while Kull was talking, letting the information find its own place in his mind.
Images, colors and emotions all fed this process. He imagined the Jedi, blond haired, beautiful and excited. He saw him presenting the information he had found to a group of men sitting in high backed black thrones. His eyes where bright and his voice shook with the importance of his discovery. The smell of hot metal and the taste of bile in his mouth when his findings where not only ignored, but lead to his expulsion from the order he had dedicated his life to. He felt the first burst of uncontrolled anger burn down to a simmering resentment and disdain for the Jedi. And these coals fed the fire that became his passion, that lead to the creation of the Jensaarai. Each image, each taist, each smell, came to him like a leaf on the wind. barley noticed by the conscious mind and then landing on the ground where it ceased to be an individual, and became part of the pile.
Amazing what a childs mind can do.
"Is the force bad or good?" Trey asked.

The Barabel hissed with amussment, his forked tongue protruding from his mouth and flicking the air as he did so. "The force iz neither good or evil, it knowz not of these things, they are concepts created by sentinent beings, the force iz beyond good and evil". He explained. "But if you need a definate answer the easiest way thiz one can explain iz that when things are az the force desirez and in balance peace and prosperity will prevail, but when the forcez will iz ignored and it iz unbalanced then chaos and darkness will reign". The Jensaarai Defender elaborated.
"You see both the Jedi'z and the Sith prevent the force being in balance". "The Sith with their evil manipulationz of the force and using it for their own greed and lust for power". "The so called dark side, iz nothing more than a scar upon the force, a poisonous cancer of impurity". The Barabel snarled, the disdain obvious in his voice. "And the Jedi Knightz are not much better, they use the force as a tool to help them to protect their precious republic, nothing more than over hyped police who are out to seek fame and glory". "All of the major warz in the galaxy have been started because of the Jedi'z rivalry with the Sith and az far az the Jensaarai are concerned, the galaxy would be better off without them". "Millionz have died because of their personal war". Kull then suddenly stopped talking and began scratching his head as he stared out the viewport window at the field of streaking stars beyond, apparently having completely forgotten Trey was there and seemingly preoccupied.

Trey was digesting this latest piece of information when he let out a huge yawn. He clapped both hands to his mouth and looked up at Kull, embarised. "sorry, It's not what your saying, I'm just tired from everything that happened today." He stifled another huge Yawn. Then foraged in his mind for another question. He was desprate to stay awake as long as he could, and learn as much as he could. "So the force, it is affected by acts of good and evil from every living thing? does that meen that the Jensaarai, umm." He fought to find the words. "The Jensaarai, balance the scales?"

Kull froze when Trey yawned, his eyes narrowing to slits as he stared down the young man. A soft hissing escaped his lips then escalated to a loud rumble as he burst into a fit of hysterical laughter. Slapping the arm of his seat as he keeled over hissing hysterically, tears streaming from his eyes as the Barabel roared with laughter. "Oh.....please stop..... thiz one cannot take anymore". The Barabel rasped between gasps of air as he wiped tears from his eyes. "Oh, Trey you so funny". Kull said finally getting a hold of himself as he resumed his serious mood from before.
"Yes, exactly". Kull said with a nod and a huge reptillian smile. "But it is a battle we have long struggled with, which will soon change with the coming storm, something is going to happen, an ancient prophecy fortells the coming of the prophets who will either lead the universe to salvation or plunge it into darkness". He explained. "The time is coming soon and the Jensaarai will be ready, unlike the Jedi and Sith". He continued. "The time is at hand for us to end it once and for all and restore the balance to the force and a new golden age and peace and prosperity". The Jensaarai Defender rasped. He stopped then studied Trey once more. "There is a bed in a small room just to the left of where we entered the ship, you may sleep there, thiz one will awake you when we arrive at our destination".

Trey was about to argue, or just keep asking questions when another huge yawn struck him. He stood, picked up his bags and walked towards the door Kull had mentioned. Just before entering he turned to look out the front of the space craft again. The stars streaked by and Kull's head was a black silhouette dappled with light. “I feel it you know, I can see it, glowing around people like light. At least I think that’s what it is.” Trey paused, thinking how to phrase his next sentence. “The Jedi was blue, the other one was red, but.” Again he paused, “They both looked, sick, there glow was almost like a poison fire”. Trey was thinking about a piece of uranium he had come across when disassembling a core reactor. Totally illegal of course, but in the lower city illegal was a way of life. “But your colour was different, purple; it felt natural, like a glass of clean water. That is why I came with you.” With that said Trey slapped his hand to the doors access panel and walked through. He stripped down to his boxers. He considered washing, but had only just wet his hands when another wave of exhaustion hit him. He scrubbed his face, pulled his knife from the belt on his pants then slipped it under his pillow as he lay down. His hand around the familiar handle, he closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
