Ryloth Astrographical Region Outer Rim Territories[1] Sector Gaulus sector[2] System Ryloth system[3] Suns 1: Ryloth[3] Ryloth, also known as Twi'lek, and Twi'lek Prime,[5] was the harsh, rocky homeworld of the Twi'leks, an Outer Rim Territories world located on the Corellian Run and forming one endpoint of the Death Wind Corridor. One side of the planet perpetually faced its sun and the other remained in darkness, a phenomenon known as tidal locking. The dayside was referred to as the Bright Lands and the night-side was known as the Nightlands. Ryloth, the second planet in the Ryloth system, possessed a thin, but breathable atmosphere. The planet was orbited by five moons, which had subtle tidal effects on the planet's liquid core and underground springs. It had little or no surface water except for patches of water ice on the night side. It was a planet of extremes: dry, rocky landscapes of deserts, mountain ranges with mist-covered peaks, shadowy valleys, alternated with snowy wastes, joined by lush temperate bands which concentrated much of its population[4].

He was a boy of 15. His brown skin was wrapped in strips of grey cloth that clung to his body. He was jogging at a decent pace down a stone path with huge trees and low hanging vines lining the way. He made his way through the lush garden and came upon a clearing. Through a pair of identically enormous trees he saw a small pool of water surrounded an island of stone. Trees towered overhead and blotted out the afternoon sun. The scent of flowers was nearby and as the boy looked he saw the small lily pads that hovered on the surface of the water. Upon each pad rested a deep crimson flower that gave off a smell so rich and beautiful he often described the smell as red itself. Beyond the clearing, not too far out of the way, was an artificial waterfall. The boy's father had it constructed because he understood that those kinds of things added to the feeling of connectedness. The sound drifted to the boys ears lightly and he slowed to a walk to admire it. Small beads of sweat littered his body and the boy used his breathings techniques to slow his heart rate. Ahead of him, on the small stone island, sat is instructor, Master Enwin. He was cross legged on a bench that lined the small island. "Hello Gallonar." Master Enwin said. "I see Mr. De Vallon kept you late." Gallonar stopped in front of his master and bowed. His long tekku almost touching the ground. He readjusted them when he rose and looked to his Master. Although Master Enwin was not a galacticly certified Master he still held a high possition on Ryloth for what is considered his higher meditation exercises. He once taught the prince of Ryloth and the Senator's daughter. Of the royal families the Sergun's were hardly a part of them. Although Gallonar's father, Julius Sergun, was paying a good fortune for the training of his son. An investment, he thought, was well worth while. Gallonar, on the other hand, it was difficult to say whether he was taking all of this to heart. "My apologies Master Enwin. I tried reminding Mr. De Vallon that I had prior engagements but he insisted on finishing the match." Master Enwin readjusted himself on the stone bench and looked at Gallonar. "Swordsmanship has forever been a long and difficult skill to learn. He was right to insist that you finish what was begun but I remind you that punctuality is the politeness of Kings." Master Enwins mild knowledge and control over the force is akin to the sub groups of force users that were rejected by the Jedi Order. Some discovered their talents too late in age while others did not have the midiclorian aptitude necessary for acceptance in the Order. Master Enwin was among those that were discovered later in life. Yet that did not stop him. His devotion to a life of peace and service has brought him into the folds of classes not reached by a commoner in centuries. Gallonar's family were apart of the upper middle. Plenty to live off of yet not enough income revenue generated to consider them among the elite. Gallonar sat down on the cool stone bench. White granite made out of a single piece nearly 9 feet long. He crossed his legs and placed his hands palms up on his knees. Breathings deeply he closed his eyes and brought his focus to where he was and what he was doing. The art of being still, Master Enwin called it. Yet Gallonar liked it because of how it made him feel. Some people focused more on the lack of experience when meditating but he had been taught that good experiences and learning can come from the right approach to meditation. Master Enwin guided him through their usual beginning: A verbal path through the clearing of the mind, the releasing of tension and stress, the purging negativity and the injection of light/love in its place. Here was where Master Enwin differed from the Jedi. They caution against feeling and experiencing the strong emotions like Love and Anger. But Master Enwin taught Gallonar that it was better to feel these so as to know them in order to have a broader view of the entire emotional spectrum. His Master always said, you will not be blindsided by something that is in your sights. If you keep your emotions within sight then they will not surprise you when you experience them. Hence, you can better learn how to control your reactions to them. . . It was a round about way of saying that Jedi were primarily correct. Control is what they sought; Master Enwin's way was just different. "Reach out with your mind and connect with all the life around you. See their light. Feel their lives. With every pulse of their existence their light spreads out through the Force. It connects with other lights and coalesces into the illumination that you see. All life is precious, sacred." Gallonar saw the tiny lights that surrounded him. Such small things they were but together they combined and created a light that filled every breath. It was not just that the plant life, the bugs, and the animals were alive. It was that the light was so thick in this place that he could almost believe that every breath was filled with life. He said this to his Master who replied: "Oh but it is. Life exists on multiple levels. What you are seeing is the energy that gives life and that life gives. It is well to remember that although there are distinctions between the two; they are fundamentally the same." Gallonar nodded and kept his focus. Next, through the guidance of Master Enwin, he expanded his 'sight.' He let his focus grow until it was not just the immediate area that was within his view but the places beyond the trees and the garden. He saw the hills, his fathers mansion, the streets that lined the city. Maste Enwin had taught him that to maintain this level of connection one had to also maintain the focus and discipline of intense concentration. If he was distracted now by a passing thought he would return back to his normal sight and loose the perspective the Force gave him. But worrying about loosing focus was just as bad. Gallonar could no longer feel his limbs and his vision was completely absorbed by the sight that he was experiencing. He went father. Beyond the streets and the buildings and the speeders. Never loosing sight of anything that was within his limits. A feeling of elation washed over him as he realized that he had never gone this far before. Farther and deep, broader and wider. All encompassing his sight consumed. Until . . . Until he saw the planet. The running lines of massive energy, the tiny lives of insects, humans, and animals. He saw the infinitely complex strands of connections and their inter-connection. The deep lines of emotion and mass attention. He saw - Everything. "Now Gallonar, here is the most important part." Master Enwin said to him. "Accept it. Love it. And bring it into harmony." Gallonar's chest expanded with a deep inhalation of breath. Tears nearly ran down his cheeks as he opened his heart to the world of his birth. Never will he forsake it, and forever will he love it. He felt his love pulsating from his heart. This moment lasted forever.
