The lowest levels of Coruscant...
" Lying hundreds of stories below the skyscraper pinnacles, Coruscant's urban canyon floors never saw the light of day.[1]Due to its enclosure by larger buildings air was trapped in the lower levels, creating a micro-climate. Trapped moisture contributed to rainstorms and convective wind patterns within the canyon floors.[1] A realm of artificial illumination, the lower levels of the galaxy's largest city were the only affordable areas for many of the planet's citizens.[2]Rumbling with machines that served the elite above, its streets haunted by exploiters and thugs, and its walls riddled with vermin, Coruscant's underworld toughened the strong and consumed the weak.[2] Coruscant's underlevels harbored a larger population than do many entire star sectors, leaving millions beyond the protection of the world's security force. Local neighborhoods were at the mercy of hired thugs and extortionists. But the toughest faces sometimes belonged to vigilantes, who chose to defend the people on their own turf from criminals.[2]
Garbage was compressed into thick blocks and stored in the deeper levels of the Underworld. Much machinery that satisfied the needs to the well-to-do surface-dwellers, were also kept in the depths of the Underlevels and so there was a constant sense of motion and unrest.[3] Artificial lighting barely brightened the dark, sorrowful levels. The Underlevels were home to various mutant species including the Cthon, Coruscani ogre, Duracrete slugs, Mutant Rats, Shadow barnacles, taozin, and Granite slugs, which often posed a threat to sentient beings. ((OOC: These first posts were carried over from the Lower Levels of Coruscant thread just to refresh everyone.))
Kaylen Sol
As Aiden stepped forward along side Daedel, a huge rumble was felt.
Aiden looked up to see a giant Duracrete slug burrow its way through the foundation.
"What the...?"
Another slug come from below, it appeared there was some sort of humanoid riding it.
Aiden grabbed the blaster and without hesitation, he began firing shots at it. He sensed danger.
More slugs appeared. Riding them, were the mythical Cthons. They were zombie-like humanoids who preyed on living flesh.
Their ancestors were Humans who were banished from the surface for their crimes, subsequently residing in the darkness of the undercity for thousands of years, which genetically changed them into terrifying creatures that became the subject of countless horror stories and nightmares.
Visually, they appeared like decaying corpses with loose flaps of flesh, stringy, dirty hair, and a lipless mouth filled with sharp teeth. Skin grew to cover their eyes; there was an egg-like organ where the eye could be seen moving restlessly while sealed within its sockets.
ATRA:
Thane turned as Aiden began firing on the slugs. Muttering under his breath he quickly surveyed the area for anything he could use. Rolling out of Aiden's line of fire his mind was working at a furious pace. Based on his learnings and what he knew of the Force you couldn't simply command the elements, and you sure as hell couldn't create them. Yet he had been able to manipulate the fire back in the alley, was able to influence it towards his ends. How had it happened?
While Thane replayed the previous events in his head Erebus turned slowly towards the oncoming threat. "We will talk when it is safe to do so... For now, stay alive." Erebus' voice betrayed no particular fondness for the group yet still conveyed that he would be annoyed should they fail in this regard. Raising his arms before him Force Lightning crackled to life between his palms, snaking about as if alive. He concentrated a blast of Force energy forward, letting it burst from his body as opposed to his hands. The resulting collapse fell upon the nearest worm-rider. As the debris hit home Erebus unleashed a storm of lightning on his target.
Thane's attention snapped back to the moment as he felt his Father's power surge. He had no weapons that could be used against the durasteel slugs nor their riders. Unlike his Father, Thane lacked precision with his telekinetic techniques. He would just have to put his theory to the test. Turning back towards the ambulance he focused an orb of Force energy into his palm and thruat his hand into the aide, the orb of Force punching a hole in the side. Thane quickly snapped his head away protectively as sparks shot from the opening. Reaching his hand towards his work Thane let out a deep breath as he opened himself to the Living Force. His theory was simple but would probably never be thought of by someone indoctrinated in any of the Orders and their preconceived notions. The Living Force was everywhere and in everything. It only made sense that something that could not be held within the Force could be connected and influenced through the Living Force. All he had to do was attune himself to it, a concept easier said than done. Letting out another breath as he thought about the element before him. Electricity was erradic, never static and always excited. Searching his emotions and memories he tried to build a mentality that matched that of the electricity, harmonizing his Living Force with that of the element before him. His success was signified via the sparking electricity jumping out to coil about his hand. With a stoic expression, firmly concentrating on his resolved connection, Thane turned towards the coming danger. Walking forward the electricity followed in an arcing trail. Pooling in erradic orbs in his palms the electricty.snapped and hissed in an arcing aura surrounding him.
"You've learned a new trick I see." Erebus' tone was surprised, if not confused as well.
"I'm full of surprises, Father." Thane's glare pierced Erebus as Thane strode forward. "Hopefully I don't have to stick around and show you more." He finished bitterly before glancing at Aiden. "Give me a target and we'll hit'em together!"

My post:
Daedel had also grabbed her blaster from the holster hanging at her hip. She fired shot after accurate shot at the advancing adversaries. The duracrete slugs seemed fairly impenetrable, however the blasts of energy directed at them had gotten their attention and they seemed rather ticked off by the display. The Cthons urged their mounts onward with urgency, and they appeared to be armed with spears of shards of ore or durasteel foundations.
While intimidating, the Nautolan had faced several terrifying ordeals in the depths of various oceans hunting exotic wildlife for her Smuggling Master when she had been a slave to be sold on the black market. These however, she knew nothing about... at least having a Master, he would give her access to the database to research the various creatures she'd be dealing with as she dove to the depths below. Here, she felt like she was acting blindly.
She had once been told by Professor Sol that she was a special student at the Academy, and not simply because of her ability to learn, but because she was different than the average person or being in the galaxy. He had told her that he believed her to be force sensitive and that one day he would perhaps train her if she wished.
She wished she could call on those so called force abilities now, that is, if she had learned any skills. For now, she would have to focus on the present. No use wishing what one wasn't able to have, especially in the heat of battle.
The Nautolan whipped her head to Thane and Erebus who both seemed to be honing their abilities together to fight the oncoming beings.
She watched as one of the duracrete slugs burrowed out from a wall near where Aiden had been standing, causing a chunk of rubble to fall and fall on the human, who let out a cry of panic.
She changed tactics and aimed for the Cthons transparent looking eyesockets which would probably be more vulnerable to fire than their duracrete slug rides. "Aiden!" She cried moving towards her friend, still firing at the Cthons and their mounts.
She managed to check Aiden's pulse and it was a steady but slow beat. He was alive but unconscious for the moment.
((Now you can post. We'll just take Aiden along for the ride))

Thane heard Daedel cry out, causing his attention to snap onto her and Aiden. Cursing quietly he turned back to the coming threat. "We need to get out of here before we're all overwhelmed!" Thane shouted angrily. Turning his attention back to the Cthons and their slugs. Focusing on the electricity arcing around him he moved about as if performing an intricate dance. The purpose of this was to manipulate the element freely without coming into contact with it himself. Gathering the electricity into a concentrated orb he launched it forward towards the nearest Cthon. The resulting blast of electricity rocked the creature from its slug and sent it convulsing to the ground below.
While his goal was to attack Thane still had the forethought to retain some of the electricity. During his attack it had pooled into his left hand. Reaching towards the element in his palm with his right hand he drew it back, as if stretching it out. The result caused the electricity to arc into a storm of power, replenishing his supply back to its previous state. Erebus was demonstrating the multitude of uses for Force Telekinesis as he blasted the Cthons from their mounts and redirected the slugs that tried to ram their location. "I agree," Erebus stated calmly, despite the situation, "leaving would be prudent."
"Daedel, get Aiden back into the transport and start it up!" Thane yelled as he assaulted the Cthons once more.

((Get to the chawwppaah!-Arnold voice))
Daedel watched with amazement as Thane sent blasts of electrical currents from his fingertips towards the slug like creatures. Perhaps he could teach her to do that? That would definately come in handy. She had to tear her gaze away from the scene, as she remembered that it wasn't only her life in danger. Many lives were at stake here.
With instinctual scenes and willpower to get out of the situation, she ran as fast as she could while carrying Aidan over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes towards where they had left the transport. It seemed some of the slug like creatures were following her, trying to thwart their plans for escaping. She took her blaster out and tried taking pot shots of them when she was able to without slowing her pace much.
She climbed a few ladders and made it toward the transport. She put Aidan down as fast as she could in the copilot seat and began firing up the controls. She wasn't familiar with these controls but she was able to figure out the basics. She closed the doors and put the shields on first so she wasn't in immediate danger from any Cthons. She fired up the engines then flicked ont he repulsors as the transport lifted into the air. Taking the yolk into her hands, she aimed it upwards in a slight climb, before turning to starboard and back the way Erebus and Thane were situated.
She'd be coming in fast with any lasers this craft had available blazing any enemy she saw in sight.
Once she had spotted a few, she took pot shots at them since the lasers on this craft weren't that powerful, and waited till they were several feet below and opened up the side door. "Get in!"
