Layia entered the archives at a brisk pace, ignoring the usual looks from the adolescant learners. She didn't have time to chastise boys for being hormonal. Usually she enjoyed teasing them over it. With purpose she made her way to the restricted section. Waving her hand towards a small panel a click answered her, resulting in a keypad extending from the wall. Keying in her clearance code the keypad beeped happily and dissappeared once more. The doors before her opened with a hiss as she walked through.
Inside the newly revealed section was an empty room. The Jedi way was a humble one and this room reflected that better than most. In the center was a lone acceas terminal in prestine condition. Pulling the chair towards her with the force she sat down. She wasn't sure how long it would take to match Master Higomi's statements to their records so she set about making heraelf comfortable. It didn't take long for the air to fill with acrolling holograms, Layia's curious eyes flicking over them quickly. As a learner she had read many accounts of the last Sith war. It was the usual speal. From unknown regions the Sith emerged led by the Dreadlord Darth Renatus, aptly described due to his ability to envelope planets with Force Terror. It was all nonsensical nonsense to appease a scared populace, yet here in the restricted archives she found something new.
Leaning closer to the screen Layia focused on the records concerning that time in the Order. As was known to most Coruscant had been attacked and the Temple destroyed, Grand Master Samual and his brother Higomi L'eonheart moving the surviving Order offworld. What wasn't public knowledge was the events that occured after. Rena Sanctus, master to Higomi during his younger years in the Order, returned to the Jedi and confronted Higomi in the new temple hanger. The confrontation resulted in Rena's death and Higomi's departure with two others; leaner Eldoc and Knight Revan. Reports dictated they then dissappeared on a trajectory that was traced to Korriban though no additional details were discovered.
So far the holocron was dead on with what it depicted. Scrolling through the rest of the information she noted the images of Renatua at the final confrontation with Grand Master Samual. Once again a match to what she had seen. Unsure of what to make of it all Layia sat in stunned silence. Why me? She couldn't help but wonder that after everything she had learned. A Battlemaster she had idolized in her youth and saught to model heraelf after had been one of the most powerful and effective Sith Lords in centuries. Still, she opted to remember the man she had idolized in her readings and not the monster. Diaconnecting the terminal from the archives Layia sent a notification to the Council chambers before leaving the Archives with a weary lilt to her steps.
