The fortress on the Mandalorian homeworld of Mandalore was recently constructed by the current Mand'alor to serve as a perminant base of operations for the Mandalorian government. The fortress is a massive complex that sits on the outskirts of the city of Keldabe on what used to be a derilict housing district. The fortress serves as a gathering place for the leaders of the Mandalorian clans, military leaders, corporate representatives and the administrative government.
The main building boasts the hall of the clans, the grand assembly room, communications rooms, a grand dining hall, various guest rooms, an armoury and prison, a Mandalorian protector barracks, the Mandalorian protector headquarters, the Mand'alor's personal quarters and throne room. As well as extensive war and operations rooms from which the Mandalorian leadership can plan and co-ordinate military campaigns.
To the right of the main building complex is a building devoted to the management of the Mandalorian corporate world and economy. While opposite it on the other side of the main complex sits the administrative headquarters of the Mandalorians where political and civil matters are dealt with by the government.
Finally the fourth and largest building that makes up the fortress grounds is an extensive hangar bay for the Mandalorian leadership and government as well as a large hanger that serves as a home for the local defense force squadrons. The entire complex is heavily guarded and encircled by a massive defensive wall which is guarded by guard towers all boasting quad heavy laser cannons to defend the fortress from attackers. It also boasts its own deflector shields incase of an ariel assault and various turbolaser and proton torpedo launcher enplacements to ward off attacking forces.

Cervantes wondered why the Moff wanted to wait until the next day to formalise the treaty between the Mandalorians and the Empire. He shrugged it off and dismissed it as an imperial standard of proceedure or another of the moffs eccentricity's. The empire had apparently changed a lot since his day, and not for the better. He could see why one of their admirals had become disillusioned and gone renegade, but regardless the empire was a strong and worthy ally. Far better to have them on your side than not. Plus the alliance would bring them the valuable Mandalorian iron the empire had in their possession, Cervantes had plenty of the metal himself but the material was mostly underground and had to be mined which was a long and costly process. He'd rather spend the credits and buy it from the imperials instead.
He had use for some of the iron apart from constructing Mandalorian ships, vehicles and armouring their troops. He had his suit of Jensaarai armour plated with the iron in addition to its corotis ore armour shell. The Mandalorian iron had been placed underneath as a thin layer of armour to help protect the wearer from blaster fire and explosives and had proved to be highly efficient without causing much of a hinderance to weight and movement. He had plans to have it widespread amongst all the Jensaarai with all of them having it for additional protection.

Judo Dio finished going over the reports on his desk and sighed heavily, a Be'Mando'ade Cabur's work was never done. He put the paperwork aside for now and walked out of his office within the naval wing of the main fortress. He made his way into the war room and had a message sent out for Al'verde Vaelann to meet him here. The Be'mando'ade Cabur had news for the Al'verde and a new assignment of significant importance for the newly promoted leader of the Mandalorian protectors. He just hoped that she was up to the challenge.

Brushing at my armor, I walk along the hallways of the fortress towards the war room, not so much because of the surroundings but because some mir'sheb thought it would be funny to walk around with their head in a datapad not watching where they're going and dumped half a cup of caf on me. I managed to scrub it off before my orders arrived, but I can still smell the osik, and it's about to drive me mad. Running my hand down my abdomen one more time, I step into the war room, bucket in hand, back straight. "Al'verde Vaelann reporting as ordered, Be'Mando'ade Cabur."

Judo turned away from his conversation with an officer in the room as Al'verde Vaelann entered and waved at the woman to join him where he stood in front of a large holoprojection display that laid out the details of an entire legion of troopers upon the table top. "Welcome Al'verde Vaelann". He said with a smile. "I trust you found your way here without too much trouble". The general turned back to the projection and typed some commands in the keypad, the legion disappeared and was replaced with smaller representations of a whole five legions. "See these men Al'verde"? He asked. "They're all yours". He informed her.
Without waiting for her to assess the situation fully he selected one particular legion and the projector zoomed in upon the group making each soldier appear to be several inches tall. "This is the newly recruited fifth Legion of the Protector Corps". Judo Dio explained, pausing to let her look the group over. "They're made up of mostly raw recruits except for your officers who have all been taken from the other legions to partially fill out the command structure of the fifth". The Be'mando'ade Cabur continued. "The minor officer ranks have been left open for you to decide who out of the troopers is worthy of a promotion". He went on then paused staring at her intently to garner her reaction.

I keep my face blank as I look over the projection, but inside my mind is going wild. Ori'osik, yesterday I was working on my own, and now I'm in charge of all these vode? Maybe they missed the line in my records that says "tends to punch in the face of those she doesn't like". Not great for a commander, but there you have it. Works well enough when I'm on my own. Grow up, Twixt, I tell myself. About time you start acting like you're ready to have an aliit of your own one day. "Do the recruits have any preparation, Be'Mando'ade Cabur?"

"They have undergone and completed basic training". Judo replied. "But their far from being an effective and cohesive fighting force, not by Mando Cabur standards anyway". He added. "I am sending them with you to Concord Dawn for additional training, your Ver'alor Al'varde and Evaar'la'lor will provide you with all the assistance you shall require to drill them in maneuvers and combat operations, so you will not be alone". "This is a training exercise, to train not just the new Cabur, but also yourself". The Be'mando'ade Cabur explained. "Your forces have been deployed and will assemble upon Concord Dawn from their respective posts through the Mando sector". He paused to let it all soak in. "Do you have any questions Al'varde"?

Do I have questions? No, I'm a soldier, a warrior, I know my place. Follow orders and the will of my superiors, just as they follow the will of our Mand'alor. Trying to train an entire legion on my own after a decade of running as a solitary is going to be interesting, but I will do it. I will not fail. "No, Be'Mando'ade Cabur. I understand my duty."

Judo smiled in response and nodded. "Very well, you'd best get going Al'varde, your transport leaves from here within the hour". He informed her. "Your officers will meet with you as soon as you land on Concord Dawn". He gave her a brisk salute. "You are dismissed Al'verde". He was concerned as to whether or not they hadn't over estimated her abilities, but the Mand'alor seemed utterly convinced that she was the woman for the job of commanding the Mando Cabur. In either case, they would find out if she was up to the challenge or not soon enough.

"Be'Mando'ade Cabur," I reply, saluting back, then turn on my heel and leave the room, heading back to pack up the few things I carry with me away from my clan home to take on the shuttle to Concord Dawn.

The grand assembly hall within the fortresss is made ready for the historic signing of the trade/mutual protection pact between the Mandalorians and the Empire. The ceremony while not a huge overly elaborate one is appropriately presentable with over forty high ranking members of the Mandalorian government in attendance excluding the Mand'alor himself who they are awaiting on the arrival of. The treaty and its accords are laid out upon the dias in the center of the room for the Mand'alor and Imperial representative to sign. The assembly eagerly awaits the arrival of both the Supreme Moff and the Mand'alor.

Dwardin walked into the Fortress and saw the treaty ceremony being laid out and smiled to himself, while and alliance with the empire was good for business Dwardin hoped that Mand'alor had not signed or agreed to sign away the secrets to Beskar, after all only on Mandalore can you find the ore, and then only Mandalorians knew how to work it into what it is known for, and that is the way it should stay. Walking over to one of the guards standing around he asked where Mand'alor was and followed the directions, knocking on the entranceway before entering the room Dwardin looked at his Mand'alor and gave a small nod as greeting "We shouldn't give these Aruetiise to much at once, and we should also make sure that only our smiths work whatever metals we give them"

Cervantes was finalising his preparations for the signing of the treaty with the imperials when Dwardin entered the room. Clad in his regal looking Mandalorian armour that consisted of an entire chest piece of elegant plant like design, the vines and paterns shone with a sparkling silver against a dark sold black backdrop. The Mand'alor swung a long elegant black cloak over his shoulders that shimmered on the inside with a royal purple interior. He clasped the golden chain that held it together around his neck and turned to the Mandalorian standing before him with a smirk. "You worry too much Dwardin Nomast". He replied fastening his lightsaber to his belt and began putting on the fine black leather gloves that he always wore on formal occassions.
"You need not concern yourself with matters of politics as its not your strong point". He continued. "I will handle the imperials and ensure that the Mandalorians get a very fine deal without compromising too much". The Mand'alor assured Dwardin. "Now, what is it you wanted to see me about"? He inquired as he clenched his fists, getting used to the feeling of the gloves.
........................................................................................................
Be'mando'ade Cabur Judo Dio looked over the holonet reports displayed on the huge screen in front of him, this was not good. First Coruscant, then Bastion and now Coronet, the terrorists were attacking every major throne world of the political powers in the galaxy it seemed. And he held no dilusions that Mandalore might be next. He made an executive order, that only he, the Mand'alore and several others could make and raised the energency level from defcon two to defcon three.
The Mandalorian homeworld would now be enforcing additional security measures with armed squads of protectors patrolling the streets and starfighter squadrons running routine sweeps over the cities to ensure nothing was amiss. Additionally the fleet in orbit around the planet would be put on standby and ready for action at a moments notice.

The shuttle arrived and out stepped the Supreme Moff. She wore a large gown. That would hurt your eyes if the light reflected of the glittering material. The gown was blue and seemed to capture all the light around it bringing one's eye to its wearer. Kandria walked the route, a small honor guard behind her. This signing was of course being recorded by small drones. for record's sake. She slowly made her way towards the room. When finally there she smiled and waited to approach the table until the Mandolor was in sight.
