The Yavin system was a three-planet star system in the Outer Rim Territories that contained the gas giant Yavin Prime and its twenty-six moons; three of which were habitable: Yavin 4, Yavin 8, and Yavin 13.
Yavin 4 was one of three habitable moons orbiting the gas giant Yavin and was mostly covered in large sprawling tropical jungles with tall canopies though there were also a few mountain ridges like the Yunteh Mountains, dominated by volcanoes such as the Nicolo and Borundi Peaks.
Yavin 8 another one of three habitable moons that orbited the gas giant world of Yavin Prime. Yavin 8 was an arid, cold world covered in vast expanses of snow and brown tundra. Though water was abundant on Yavin 8 because of its vast expanses of snow and tundra, it was only found in liquid form within the rivers and lakes of its equatorial purple mountain ranges.
Yavin 13 had a hot and arid climate, and was mainly covered in deserts, rocky plains and cacti forests. However, the moon also had grassy plains and much of its southern hemisphere was covered by open, shallow seas which spread what little moisture there was on the moon into the atmosphere.
