In 3,993 BBY, as part of the Great Hunt, Duron Qel-Droma and Shaela Nuur died on the planet, failing to cleanse it of terentateks[8][12]. Seeking the Star map in Naga Sadow's tomb he passed the tests and then confronted Uthar. With the death of Master Uthar Wynn, the academy's headmaster, and Darth Malak himself at the hands of Revan in 3,956 BBY, the Sith Order collapsed into a civil war (which took place 3,956-3,950 BBY) which decimated the Sith Order.[13]

A small ship entered the Korriban atmosphere, followed by a smaller Sith fleet ship, loaded with Sith troopers. Darth Nemesis and Darth Onslaught awaited for the drop ship to deploy the troops. Both Sith stood up looking out the window. " Welcome to the valley of Dark Lords, my apprentice. There is so much knowledge of the dark side here. We most protect this territory." the Sith Lord told his apprentice. Nemesis and Onslaught left the ship walking on the sand. " Captain, check the territory, afterward set up camp. We will create a military installation in those mountains, right above the valley." Darth Nemesis pointed exactly where he wanted the base, then walked back into the ship, followed by his apprentice.

Niyo looked at her master, Darth Nemesis. " Master, leave me in charge here. I will prove to you that i can secure this area." Darth Nemesis looked at his apprentice. " Well do you think you can handle this mission? It is not a easy task, and must be complete. These grounds must be secured. As well we must have this base hidden above the valley. We do not want our presence known, but we dont want anyway destroying our ground." Darth Nemesis looked his his apprentice, and then looked over to the General. " General, come here." The General walked over to Nemesis. " Yes, my lord?" Darth Nemesis looked at his apprentice, and then the General. " My apprentice Niyo will be in charge, however you have the map design. Niyo and yourself will work as a team. I will be checking in on you. Don't disappoint me."
Darth Nemesis walked away into his ship. " Pilot, take me to Naboo."

Niyo watched on as the military post in the mountains was being complete. A new hidden base had been established. Niyo pulled out her communication device. " Master Nemesis, Korribans military base is complete. what is my new task?" Darth Nemesis, looked at his apprentice. " Very well, my apprentice. Start building a heavy shipyard, and while that is being built await my command." The blue figured disappeared as Niyo walked off.
Heavy shipyard start date June 14

The shipyard was now complete. In a few moments the construction yard of Korriban would be put to work, assembling the sith fleet. It had been verified not to contact Darth Nemesis for unknown reasons. His affairs were his business, however Darth Nemesis gave his young apprentice a new task. General Kilo, commanding General on Cerberus Prime, and left the task on a hologram. Arranged by Darth Nemesis to move forward from Korriban. Niyo's ship departed from Korriban to a new system.

The young pilot of their transport was a superstitious one, and in that case had been Layia and her apprentice's only saving grace. He had come out of hyperspace far enough from Korriban that they were beyond sensor range, but through the Force Layia was hit with an immediate wave of darkness. It weighed heavy above her, forcing her to grab the nearest wall for support. It seemed that her suspicions had been correct, the Sith were rebuilding. At least, she assumed it was the Sith. She lacked any solid proof at the moment and any transmission would be detected within moments.
Releasing a heavy sigh Layia turned towards Kian. What did I get him into? It would be difficult enough for her to slip in undetected, but with an apprentice that task just became harder. "I'm sorry." She found herself saying out loud before she could think better of it. Turning to the nearest viewport her mind spun at high speed. How was she going to land undetected? It was possible that she could cloak their presence in the Force, with enough concentration, but it would still be risky.

Kian's stomach lurched from the shift out of hyperspace, but worse still was the heavy, cold blanket of darkness that seemed to wrap around him when they entered space above Korriban. The darkness was intense and seemingly impenetrable, but after a moment Kian was able to center himself and took a deep breath. He had never felt anything like it before, and it left him feeling somewhat revolted.
Kian's eyes shifted toward his master when she spoke to him. 'What was she sorry about?' He thought. It took him a moment, but then he thought of it. She felt danger around them, she was sorry that she had brought him here.
"I'm glad I'm here." Kian said to his master and stared out the viewport. The darkness, though disturbing, did not scare him as much as his masters worry. He wanted to be here.

Nodding in acknowledgment Layia's thoughts turned back to the problem at hand. They could turn back now, return to Republic space and report the discovery of the Sith on Korriban. That would be the safe option, the logical one. What if this wasn't their only base of operations though? If they could land on the surface, they may be able to trace the Sith further, maybe back to whichever planet they had hidden on for the last century. It was certainly not the best of options, but the one most worthy of pursuing. Letting out a long sigh she turned to Kian.
"This is going to take a lot of my concentration... I'm going to have the pilot take us to minimum operation levels and land on the far side of the planet. I'll do my best to disguise our Force signature while attempting to divert wandering eyes from our ship." Layia let out a sigh as she relayed her instructions to the pilot. He wasn't pleased but he wouldn't argue with a direct order. Centering herself on the meditation chair she had been using during travel Layia opened herself up to the Living Force. Entering a more subtle variation on Meditation of Immersion she was able to increase her attunement, hopefully to the point of success.
The suppression of their Force presence was the easy part, a bubble of Force cloaking about them with Layia at the center. The hard part was to come. As they approached the planet her brow furled in concentration and she focused on making them as unwelcome to the eyes of the organics as possible. It wouldn't help against droids, but any living being that tried to gaze upon them would have an almost painful aversion to it, forcing them to look away. Hopefully it would be enough.

Kian understood, and watched as his master prepared. Kian sat down in a meditative position and tried to make himself small. He concentrated on focusing himself inward and hiding his presence as best he could. He knew that he couldn't hide himself enough to be undetected, but he hoped that if he made his presence smaller then his master would have an easier time hiding his presence and her own.
He was worried, but he suppressed it as best he could.

Kian's eyes flashed open as the ship began to hit the atmosphere, and the shake that was typical of entry began to rack the vessel. He looked over at his master who was maintaining the cloak of their presence.
He knew he would be unable to meditate effectively anymore. So he took out the training saber on his side and his datapad. He began to disassemble the training saber as per the instructions he had uploaded to his datapad. It was a time consuming process and relatively quickly he found that the shaking had dulled. They had entered Korriban's atmosphere.
Kian turned back to his training saber and began to reassemble it.

Niyo, was sitting in her quarters of Korriban. A guard opened the door and looked at Niyo.
"Master, you have a message from Lord Nemesis. He said he will be departing and arriving to Korriban soon, and that no report is due on Korriban. "
Niyo then looked away and wondered why Lord Nemesis was returning to Korriban so soon.

Kian had finished reassembling his training saber and clipped it back to his waist. He felt better having the weapon, but new that he would have to rely heavily on his master if things were to go wrong on Korriban. He was relatively untrained, save from the training he had received among the Baran Do as a child.
Kian glanced over at his master. She hadn't spoke, or even moved since she began to cloak their presence and he was beginning to worry.

((OOC: Excuse my tardiness.))
As the ship set down Layia felt her grip loosen on the Force as she returned to her sense of self. Standing slowly she put out an arm for support. The landing attempt had left her drained, hopefully not for long. With a heavy breath she focused her strength and rose to her full height. What am I doing here? She thought quietly, knowing the insanity she must be demonstrating. What could be accomplished by landing here? Sure, they would get some much needed intelligence, but at what cost? Would she and her new apprentice both make it out, would she be lost forever? Or did she unceremoniously sign her own padawan's death sentence? Shaking her head Layia freed herself of her self-doubt, the temptation to flee and more importantly her fear.
Fear was dangerous, it led to one's survival instincts kicking in and that rarely resulted in a good outcome. A Jedi must put the needs of others before the needs of the self, and the instinct to survive may cause her to grasp onto any chance to live, including the Dark Side. As she entered a quiet meditative stance she allowed her emotions to pass through her with each breath, leaving her empty and at peace. Flicking open her eyes Layia glanced at her apprentice to ensure he was ready.
"This is going to be dangerous, I trust you'll run if it comes to that." Layia's voice was calming but firm, belying the command beneath the statement. Flicking the comm channel open she informed the pilot to lie in wait, all systems shut down, until their return. If they did not return, or he was discovered, he had permission to make as quick an escape as he is able. Switching the comm off she keyed the control panel and watched as the side panel opened and revealed the harsh planet.
Korriban.
For untold years it had been home to the Sith Order. So much death, so much emotion. It could be felt as readily as if the planet itself was alive and hungry, waiting for a single misstep. Steeling herself to the Darkness around her, grasping her saber hilt tightly, Layia took her first step onto the surface of Korriban.

(YAY! Welcome back!)
Kian watched his master rise, weakly at first, but then she seemed to refresh herself with the force, and she stood once more a bright beacon. He would rely on that brightness in the force to help him against the darkness he felt all around him.
She turned to him and spoke, telling him he was to run if it became dangerous. He would do as instructed, but he would not abandon his master unless absolutely necessary.
"Of course master," Kian began, but then smiled, "but just in case, I took it upon myself to turn the power up on my lightsaber." Kian admitted hoping she would not be made. As soon as they returned to the temple he would turn it back down to a training saber, or if instructed to do so he would do it now, but he wanted to be able to defend himself as best he could on this dark world.
As the panel opened Kian felt a blanket of darkness surround him. It wasn't comforting like a blanket though, it was choking and stifling and he had trouble concentrating. With a deep breath, Kian followed his master onto the planets surface.

It was hard to get her bearings. Everything was clouded by the dark side. Kneeling down she dug a hand into the sand that made up the deserts of Korriban. Other than the more notable signs of society and ruins, she found the planet reminded her of Tattooine. Only far more foreboding. Closing her eyes she focused on her connection to the Force, allowing tendrils of power to sweep out through the ground. She needed to locate the Sith forces, at least a glimpse of them. The easiest way to do that would be to locate the nearest concentration of dark side energy. Unfortunately, with the number of tombs dedicated to Sith Lords, that was a difficult task. Finally deciding to hazard a guess at one of the largest concentrations Layia stood once more, shaking her hand clean. "I believe it's this way, be cautious." Layia's tone was soothing, back to its normal hymn. She had to keep focused on clouding their Force signatures, lest they betray themselves to the enemy. Taking careful steps she began to progress towards her goal, wondering what she would find beyond the next ridge. ((I suppose we shall wait for our Sith friend to post ))
