"Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious." ―Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Luke Skywalker Mos Eisley, formerly Eisley, was a large spaceport town on the planet Tatooine. It was the largest settlement on the planet and generally known as the "armpit of the galaxy".

Hanger bay 95, the sign said. The sign was barely visible as years of howling sand storms had scarred the face off of it, just as the sand storms had scuffed the entire visage of this hive of scum and villainy.
Parked inside was a run down Imperial Galactic War era Lambda class shuttle that looked like it had seen more moons in its day than it was ever meant to. Say what you want for Palpatine's Empire, Noon thought as he surveyed the ship, but at least they made ships that lasted.
He glanced over at the Wookiee that had carried their prisoner along with them. Thankfully, the site of a Wookiee carrying a man through these Jedi-forsaken streets had not raised many eyebrows, as this was Mos Eisley and bounties were being collected every other day or so it seemed.
Noon crossed over to the Lambda and thumbed the chip he had collected off their prisoner. The boarding ramp creaked, Noon thought, but that was probably just his over-active imagination. Stepping into the aged shuttle Noon noticed with appreciation that Wolf had at least kept the inside of the shuttle in pristine condition. He looked around and saw a cage in the cargo area, a cage where Wolf clearly kept either bounties of his own, or other prisoners.
Noon motioned to the Wookiee, indicating that it might be a good place to keep the prisoner. He also picked up a pair of stun cuffs near the cage, and clasped the prisoner's wrists in them. He activated them and put the remote for them on his belt. If things went wrong, all Noon would have to do would be to hit the button on his belt, and the cuffs would send a jolt through Wolf that would stun him for several minutes.
"Well, Jay, it seems we have a choice to make. We have a ship, and we need a destination. We're both pretty banged up, which means we need medical attention, and by the looks of you, soon. I might know a place... Unless you have somewhere in mind?"

The Wookiee snorted at the sight of the Imperial Lambda class shuttle in the hangar bay. The outside of it looked terrible, but apon entering, Wa'jacca was given a surprise. Everything was spotless and organized. There was a saying in Kashyyyk, 'Never judge a tree by its bark.' Perhaps that still held true for some things..
He threw the man from over his shoulders into the cage which was large enough to hold a human, where the occupant was able to stand if he wished. Noon put the cuffs on the mans wrists and Jay shut the door to the cage with a clang, locking it in the process.
I think we should have left him to die in the cantina. Jay thought to himself. It was never any good carrying around a man through the galaxy when you knew nothing about them. Especially in their own ship. But perhaps this would teach the man a lesson on how to treat people.
He sat down in the copilot's chair, being careful to not lean back into the chair too much due to his wounds which were extremely painful.
<"What did you have in mind?"> He glanced over at the new pilot of the Lambda and added with light humour, <"I don't exactly have medical in these parts.">

Noon made his way to the cockpit and sat down in the leather pilots seat.
As Jay followed him in, Noon begun to warm up the ships engines, and run the preflight checks. He was going through all the planets he could think of, of all the contacts he knew, but nothing came to mind.
Turning to the navicomputer, Noon called a map of the galaxy and began scanning the planets.
"Here..."
He said, pointing to a planet in the Inner Rim Territories,
"Aurora... We can go there..."
It had been years since Noon had been there but he was certain the place was still operational.
Noon saw the last of the preflight check lights turn green and he signalled the spaceport authorities that they were leaving. Once they received clearance, Noon lifted the Lambda shuttle off from Mos Eisley, and took the shuttle out of the atmosphere and into orbit...

<"Alright Scotty. Beam us there."> The Wookiee murmered, strapping himself into the crash webbing. He took a glance over at his shoulder at the cage and hoped they could get rid of Wolf as soon as possible without consequences.

Noon sat back into the comfortable chair as he began plotting the co-ordinates into the navigation computer.
His gaze drifted across the star fields in front of him and he was reminded of how small they really were in the great scheme of the universe.
Out there, there are thousands upon thousands of systems, millions of planets, and countless people, each striving to make their own way in the galaxy. Each with their own personal hopes, dreams and goals. Each believing that what they would do would somehow impact the galaxy, most striving to find some way to immortalise themselves in the eyes of history.
Ironic, Noon thought, because eventually even the last sentient species will vanish from the galaxy. And then what? The wind would still blow across the vast landscapes of endless worlds, those worlds would spin, the stars would shine their never ending light down on them, and perhaps a new species would be born from those worlds.
It was a long cycle, and to some it would seem an endless cycle. Some said that humans could not comprehend the vastness of time and space, yet Noon felt as if he could imagine an awful lot of vastness right then and there, and looking at the star fields in front of him, he knew there would be a time where even those stars would stop shining. Eventually the last light of the stars would wink out from this galaxy. And then?
Who knows?
Noon sighed as his hand grasped the lever to accelerate the ship and jump it into hyperspace. Obroa-Skai, here we come, Noon thought...

The Skipray had taken several more hours than it would usually take a ship to make the hyperspace journey due to the smaller size of its hyperdrive engines. Vanessa Sola sighed impatiently. She could use a bath after this, however, they had definately come to the wrong planet for that. Water on Tatooine cost more than the most expensive ale or drink in a cantina or pub here. They'd have to wait for a more suitable planet where water was plentiful.
She was given landing coordinates, and allowed to wander around as long as she provided the docking fee, as told by the Mos Eisley Spaceport docking authorities.
She assured them that she would pay and brought the Wasp to the proper coordinates. She hoped the gungan hadn't been lying. But people rarely lied when being tortured like that, especially if they weren't trained to deal with torture methods.
She set the Skipray down and it hissed, and docked on the sandy hangar bay floor of hangar bay 95. She pulled on her helmet and strapped any possible necessary weapons to her person. She liked the appearance of being someone fierce and not to be messed with. Most people saw a human female, without the bounty hunter costume, and thought they could take advantage of that. While she did wear it, she seemed to earn more respect even if some of it was fear instilled.

Vanessa might have liked to strike fear in the hearts of people she saw, but this image might have been slightly contrasted bumbling mechanic who accompanied her. Staring down at Tatooine as they landed, Mal couldn't help but think of the Sehera desert back on Corellia. He'd never been particularly found of it, but as a child had been dragged there more than once to participate in speeder races.
And this planet was one giant desert. Sighing to himself, Mal nervously clutched at his tool belt, all the confidence and malice that had shone through when he was torturing the Gungan replaced by a clearly upset face, resembling that of a child who was about to do something he did not like at all.
Still, this Sola, she had barely blinked at what he had done to the Gungan. Maybe she was his kind of person after all. Mal had never thought he'd meet someone like him in the known verse, people tended to get very upset when he made a mess of another person.
His thoughts dwindled back to Corellia, and his last victim. The man had been a fat, over indulgent glob of grease whose only contribution to society was adding one more salary to the annual government tax. Most despicable. Well, he definitely would be contributing nothing to the tax man this year, Mal thought...

Vanessa looked over at Mal who seemed really on edge at the moment. He had begun prespiring and clutched nervously at his belt. "Don't be nervous. I'll protect you." She let out a dark chuckle.
She hopped out of the Skipray and looked around. A Gran approached them and began speaking Huttese. <"You're going to have to pay.">
"It's a desert... it's not like I'm stealing your water," was the raspy voiced reply of the bounty hunter.
<"You pay now or I kill you slowly after raping you.">
The Gran obviously had realized it was a female underneath the bounty hunter suit. A few of his cronies lingered in the shade of an alcove several feet away, polishing and cleaning their various weapons.
"I will pay you handsomely if you tell me if you've seen a man named Jay." She pulled out a wad of credits and shoved it into his hand.
<"That's nothing in these parts. What else you got?">
Vanessa gritted her teeth and shoved more credits into his hand much to the appeasement to the Gran.
<"He leave with a human in shuttle not long ago.">
"What do you mean, he's left with a human?" Sola caught the last bit of it, which implied that Jay, the rogue she had been hunting was not human. "What species is he?"
The Gran cleared his throat and his eyes jerked back and forth. <"Hes a big Wookiee slime. He destroyed the cantina. Now where can we drink our sorrows away?"> He chuckled nervously.
Sola glanced over at Mal.

This was becoming most intriguing, Mal thought.
The man they had been hunting turned out to be a Wookiee, and by the sounds of it, a Wookiee on a rampage. This could end up being very messy.
Mal had climbed out after the Skipray, only to be pushed back against it by one of the Gran's henchmen. This was something new. He was not used to being man handled, and had no idea how to react. Nervously he glanced at Sola, and his voice came out an octave higher than normal,
"Uh... Sola... A little help?"

Vanessa was about to shove more money into the gran's hand to tempt him, but instead whipped around his side, and pulled out a blaster to his throat, as she took him in a headlock. The gran's choking noises alerted his cronies standing in the shadows who withdrew various blasters or metallic looking pikes.
"Drop your weapons!" She ordered curtly, side stepping to make sure she took in all her surroundings making sure she wasn't missing any of the gran's men in her assessment of the situation. "
<"I don't think so... Little girly so smarty... She bring little boy who no no how to defend himselff."> A Quarren spat towards Sola who was holding their leader.

As the henchman who had been holding Mal let go of him, Mal stepped around behind him making as if he was moving out the way. Don't know how to defend myself eh? Mal thought as he quickly drew his scalpel from his belt. I'll show you, he added, and grabbed the man around the neck, pushing the blade against his skin.
"I think... I think you should all just leave us alone... Now!"
Something had snapped in Mal, the fear that had been there moments before was replaced, replaced by the same hunger and yearning to kill that had overcome him on Raxus, and so many times on Corellia...

"I think you've been a fish outt've water too long." Sola murmered and took aim at something on an overreaching shelf above the Quarren. She fired two shots, blowing a hole in a firery liquid that the shots ignited and then rained down on the Quarren, beginning to almost melt boils and wounds in his aquatic flesh. He howled, and attempted to wipe it off but only ended up spreading it to other areas of his body. Some of his friends tried to pour water from their cantines on him but to no avail, it didn't mix with water...
"Time to go Mal." She murmered, firing shots into the Gran's head, causing him to fall forward, not even having enough facial features left to make a sound. She fished her money she had placed in his hand and tucked it back into a pouch at her belt.
She saw that Mal had control of the one henchman, so she ducked behind the Skipray and began firing at anyone that might try to prevent them from leaving.

His next step and choice was logical, and easy. Driving the scalpel into his would be tormentors throat, Mal made a quick incision that dragged across the thug's throat, ending his life.
Jumping up onto and catching onto the edge of the cockpit, Mal vaulted himself into the ships interior. Once there he activated the ships guns and brought them to bare on their attackers, Mal opened fire.
He never liked blasters, or any long range weapons, to be honest. He'd always preferred knives, or blades, of some sort. They were so much more intimate, allowed you to notice all the little details as your victim suffered.
"Come on Sola! Get aboard!"
While he fired at their enemies he started the engine warm up process for the Skipray, hoping Vanessa would forgive him this one indiscretion...

The young bounty hunter didn't need to be asked politely in this type of situation. She jumped onto a nearby crate and dove into the Skipray, braking her fall with thick armour on her arm. Despite the armour, she felt slightly pain shoot up her arm. That would leave a bruise... she mused.
She buckled herself into the pilot's seat and shut the lid on the Skipray. She looked over at Mal who had taken over the blaster cannons. She couldn't help but allow a slight grin. What an odd pair they made... a bounty hunter that didn't know who she really was after having woken up in a medical facility two years ago, and a lonely mechanic who loved his knives.
"Thanks."
She took over the controls from him as he continued firing down on the thugs in the immediate vicinity. Upon activating the repulsor lifts, the skipray lifted up and left Hangar bay 95.
"Well that went a lot different than I anticipated," She admitted, pulling off her helmet and grabbing a bottle of water.
